Don’t fake, be authentic in praising them if they are doing good work. A simple pat on their back and they become happy and strive for more hard work than before. This is what praise can do. It will help in magnifying the results many times over.
Be available to your employees: Many times, your subordinates wish to communicate how they feel about their team or might need feedback about themselves. You should be available to them whenever they want. Also, create a relationship not like a boss-employee rather it should be like friends.
You can even encourage them to speak up their mind in an important meeting that may help the team. Everybody in the team will have different views about a single entity, expressing the ideas may help the team in choosing the best and optimal solution and in parallel will help in boosting the confidence of individuals.
Do not let negativity take place in your team. Always try to inject positive attitude in the team and make every individual a go getter. Thinking negative will worsen the confidence of an individual and also will let the organization down.
